简介：Thehalvesoftwobodies,onebelongingtoafemaleSwedishpolitician,aredisveredinthemiddleoftheØresundBridge,whichnnectsCopenhageninDenmarkwithMalmöinSweden.Thebody,cutinhalfatthewaist,hasbeenplacedpreciselyontheborderbetweentheuntries,thusfallingunderthejurisdictionofboththeDanishandSwedishpoliceagencies.Afterfurtherexamination,itturnsoutthatthebodyisthatoftwoseparaterpses,withonehalfbelongingtoaDanishstitute.SagaNorén,fromtheSwedishside,andMinRohde,fromtheDanish,leadtheinvestigationtocatchthemurderer.[4][5]Theinvestigationquicklyescalatesasajournalist,DanielFerbé,whosecarwasusedinthecrime,beginsreceivingphonecalls.Thecaller,whobeesknownasthe"TruthTerrorist",claimstobemittinghiscrimesinordertodrawattentiontovarioussocialblems.Asocialworker,StefanLindberg,whosesisterbeesavictimoftheTruthTerrorist,beesanearlysuspect.However,eventssoonleadtheDanishandSwedishteamstoncludethatthekillerhasnnectionstothepolice.Theydisverthatthecrimeshavebeenplannedoveraperiodofseveralyears.ThetraileventuallyleadsthemtoJens,aDanishpolicemanandformerclosefriendofMin's,whowasthoughttohavemittedsuicideafteranaidentonthebridgecausedthedeathsofhiswifeandson.Intheurseoftheinvestigation,MinandSagadevelopacloseworkingrelationship,althoughtheyareverydifferentpeople.Minhasatwenty-yearoldsonfromhisfirstmarriage,August,whoisnowlivingwithMinandhiscurrentwife,Mette,bywhomMinhasthreechildren;afterMinhashadavasectomy,Mettedisversthatsheisexpectingtwins.Sagalivesaloneanddoesnotseemtofeelsheneedsaseriousrelationship,insteadpickingupmeninbarsforcasualsex.SheappearstohavesymptomsnsistentwithAspergersyndrome,resultingindiffltyestablishingrelationshipsandfeelingsofinadequacyinmanagingpeople;sherefusesamotionforthislatterreason.Afterthekillerhasmurderedseveralpeopleandsuessfullythrownredherringsinthewayoftheinvestigation,histruepurpose-tostrikeatMinhimself-eventuallybeesclear.Jens,nowcallinghimselfSebastianSandstrod,firstapachesMette,whoissusceptibletohisadvances,afterlearningthatMinhassleptwithCharlotteSöringer,awomanwhoisperipherallyinvolvedintheinvestigation.SebastianluresMetteandherchildrentoaremotespotwherehesubjectsthemtoaterrifyingordeal,lockingtheminwitharoomandgivingherahandgrenadewithitspinremovedtoholdaslongasshecan.However,SagarealisesthatAugustistherealtarget.Theinvestigationculminatesinanfrontationonthebridge,whereshecannothelpbuttellMinwhathappenedtoAugustandhastofireathiminordertopreventhimdestroyinghiscareerbykillingSebastian,thekiller'sfinalintention.
